Ebisu Circuit now has a Webcam. Its located above the main strait on the Higashi Course. This screenshot taken earlier this month shows the sun rising over a light dusting of new snow, not a uncommon site at this time of year. The snow doesn’t seem to hang about for long though and hasn’t disrupted our drifting much so far!

Better late than never….. Even though it’s now deep in winter we’re still busy as ever getting cars ready for this years events, so it’s taken us a while to get round to featuring my favourite Drift Matsuri to date – the 2009 Aki(Autumn) Drift Matsuri….

Garage R Soukouki at Nishi CoursePosted by Andy in Ebisu Events, tags: drift, ebisu, Garage R, GP Sports, Kawabata, Kumakubo, Nishi, suenaga
Local tyre Shop Garage R held one of their regular Soukouki, or track day, here at Ebisu. What’s unusual about this one though is the fact it’s on Ebisu’s Nishi Short Course, one purpose built for Drift by Track owner Nobishige Kumakubo. Normally the long version of the track is a “Grip” only course so when a track day is booked for drift, it’s a rare chance that many people jump at! The course is awesome fun with a totally blind entry as you switch over the crest of the hill.

Autumn Matsuri is here soon…..Posted by Andy in Ebisu Events, tags: Drift Matsuri, ebisu
With the November Drift Matsuri coming up here at Ebisu we thought it would be nice to feature this little video made by a group of Ozzies that were over for the summer Matsuri. Lets hope for some nice clear crisp Japanese Autumnal weather for this one! I wonder if the next group of Ozzies that are on there way will leave with more or less strait panels – Time will tell….

Powervehicles 180SXPosted by Andy in Feature Cars, powervehicles.com, tags: 180sx, BN Sports, ebisu, Kazama auto, powervehicles, RPS13
We love 180sx’s here at Powervehicles.com. We took advantage of a quiet evening on the Higashi (East) track here at Ebisu Circuit to take some pics of our newest creation – this striking blue wide body “zenki”. We purchased the car a couple of years ago, and have been slowly tuning it between other projects. There has been extensive modifications carried out to the whole car, and we have now arrived at what you see here…. We hope you like it!

D1 Round 5 QualifyingPosted by Andy in D1, tags: D1, ebisu, Friends Racing, team orange, Tsuiso, Weld
D1 GP Round 5 in Ebisu started with qualifying to get into the last 16 Tsuiso battles. Competition for the spaces was tight and some notable big names such as Koguchi, Kunny’z, Orido (Pictured above) and Nakamura never made the cut. Apart from one short spell, the weather stayed dry so everyone was going at full tilt to try and impress the judges. |
