sounds like this is the perfect rental idea,
    best of luck!

  2. John Gavin says:

Nice site! I have a few questions about car rental. If the car is damaged is there any liability or costs? What about
if the engine blows or such? Is there any optional insurance to avoid any “extra” costs?

Can two drives rent one car and share for the day?

What are the requirements on driver gear?

Stickied a post Fastbike ( Anthony Haride ) made on Gaijinriders. Woud appreciate if you can add our site
    to your Friends list.

    Regards
    John G.

  3. Stefano says:

Wow, good price, and very good job my friend ;-)

  4. Andy says:

Hi John, I’ve added your link, thanks for the post on your Blog.
    In answer to your questions:

If the car is damaged is there any liability or costs? – Yes, Serious crash damage or mechanical failure due to abuse will be chargeable.

What about if the engine blows or such? As long as the driver was not excessive in his driving then mechanical failures are covered by us. There is a spare car if that should happen too.

Is there any optional insurance to avoid any “extra” costs? A cash deposit is required on the day (50,000 to 100,000 JPY depending on car). Any bad inflicted crash damage will be deducted from that amount otherwise its all returned at the end of the day. Insurance would be too expensive and also may give drivers too much of a free reign to damage the car! Note though we can choose courses to suit driver ability for you as well as give good advice so the chances of a crash can be greatly reduced.

Can two drives rent one car and share for the day? Yes, unlimited drivers can use the car. Its one price, one deposit, per car.

What are the requirements on driver gear? Helmet, and race gloves are required, though we can rent them also (Helmet 2500 JPY a day and Gloves 1500 jpy a day)

Thanks for the questions and i hope the above is of use. Let me know if you need any other info.

    Andy

  8. Alfred JP says:

    Hi…

Heard about this site from 7tune…

Anyways, have a couple of questions:

    - for an average driver, would it be possible to get basic drifts under one day?
    - im asking is because im interested in the one-day tuition with Team Orange

    Thanks!

  9. Andy says:

Hi Alfred JP. Depending on how good a student you are and how quickly you pick things up i would think the team orange guys will have you drifting to a basic level, from starting as a novice, in 1 day. Hope that helps,

    Andy

  10. George says:

Hi- I saw this on 7tune as well. I need more details though. You said 50,000 yen but what will that get me? What is the car you are offering? Are there any photos of your set up? You also mentioned 2 new tyres. What make of tyre will i get and i also want to ask about fuel. Is that something I cover myself?

Its just there isnt a whole lot of information here and id like to know a bit more if thats okay. When does a whole day start and finish? Will you be able to offer transfers and the like? If I crash because of someone else, what happens to my car and money?

If the 50,000 yen just for the car and tyres, how much is the cash deposit you are asking? And finally can I pay with my visa card or with paypal?

    Thanks for reading!

  11. Andy says:

Hi George. The car is likely to be a SR20 Turbo powered 180SX or Silvia. That or a JZX90 Tourer V. Really depends on when you come and what you have at the time. The cars are drift prepared with LSD, and Coilovers, with some performance mods too and a bucket seat. Something like the Sil80 on our stock page…..

    http://www.powervehicles.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=49&Itemid=104

The Tyres that come in the package are Nankangs or Fedrals. We can supply more expensive brands if you wish on request (At extra cost). Extra Tyres and Fuel is to be covered by yourself. Transfers from the local station / Hotel to the Track are included. The Day starts at 9pm and Finished 5pm. The deposit is 75,000 JPY. That will be returned in full as long as theres no damage to the car. If there is a circuit incident we will have to decide what happens, and who is to blame on the day….. my advice would be to keep away from other drivers as you dont know them and they dont know you. We would be hand to advise you where to drive that would suit your skill and requirements and best reduce any chance of an accident. Payment is via bank transfer to book the day. The deposit can be cash or transferred along with the rental fee. Hope that helps, and we realise there isnt much info up yet, but there will be more info and pics in the coming months,

Awesome service, sounds good, I really would love to do this, I hope I can someday soon :)

Cool blog to, keep updates coming :D

  13. Alan Low says:

    Hi Andy and Emily,

What can i say….AWESOME! Thanks once again for such superb arrangement and hospitality last week while me and Jason were there. I did not know what to expect when we signed up for the full works with Team Orange instructors but i can only say it was ALL WORTH IT. Suenaga and Sumika were really nice and easy going despite their stature. I like the idea of the training being arranged such that even novice like us can gradually and slowly improve step by step. The attention given to us by Suenaga and Sumika also gave us the opportunity to correct our mistakes and improve on the spot. (No time wasted!) We were both surprised that towards the end of the day and at stage 3 of our training we were given the opportunity to go full steam ahead on the open track to practise what we learnt the whole day! And our “surprise” at the touge really wrapped up a wonderful experience for both of us. The trip down to Nihonmatsu is worth all the time and effort man. And of course the crazy rain came and we had the pleasure of doing a crash course on both dry and wet (very wet!) conditions. (><)

Hope to see you guys again soon, i think Jason may be back alot sooner that we all think. HAHA!

Please send our regards to Suenaga san and Sumika san.

IN the meantime, keep in touch!

    Alan and Jason from Singapore

  14. Andy says:

Hey guys! Were very glad you enjoyed your time here, depsite the crazy weather! Im in the process of writing up the days events for all to see, so watch this space!

  15. minto says:

Alright Andy, Chances of being able to hop up to Ebisu while im over in January? Iv got quite a bit of free time sorta thing and wouldnt mind renting a car to get out there for a couple days.

You have my email, hit me up when you can.

    -Mint

  16. Andy says:

Hi Mint, feel free to come up then but be aware we are “up North” and will more than likely have some amount of snow. It may not be enough to totally stop the fun but it could well be a issue. We could take a provisional booking but we would have to see what the weathers like on the day….

  17. Everyone needs to know how awesome Andy and Emily are!!!

I didnt rent a car, but I was pleasured to meet them and learn about the operation at Autumn Matsuri yesterday!

2 thumbs up!!!! Keep it going!!!!!

  18. stefan kruczek says:

    Hello guys,
we are planning a trip to japan with the
    german gtr owners club.
we are in tokio from 12.01.2010 to 19.01.2010
and want to rent some drift cars at ebisu.
how many and which cars can you offer???
is it possible that you send me a plan how to get to
    ebisu from tokio?
    regards stefan

  19. Andy says:

Hey Stefan. The cars were offer are SR20 Turbo 180sx’s and S13s. Exactly what we have is constantly changing. How many cars do you need? We have 2 available but could possibly arrange more. Are the drivers experienced? Do they need tuition? Please note though from Later December to March we get periodic snow so bookings can be subject to change at very short notice.

To get here you need to get the Bullet train from TOKYO to KORIYAMA, then transfer to a local line to Nihonmatsu. From there we will pick you up.

  28. Jordan says:

    Hi Andy,

My friend and I are interested in the one day car hire. Would you mind sending me some more information such as car availability, total costs, transportation to the track and so on? We are aiming to be at Ebisu on February 1st.

    Thank you very much,

    Jordan

  29. Andy says:

Hi Jordan, the total costs are as displayed above. We will give you a lift from Nihonmatsu Station to the circuit so you just need to get yourself to Nihonmatsu Train Station. We have cars available all the time, the only problem is we may have snow then….
