With our love for Big power Toyotas this car was always going to be a hit with us here at Powervehicles.com.  The other day we got round to testing it after installing a new boost controller.  The car never disappointed…..

From the outide the car looks great as you can see, with Vertex look Aero parts.

The Dual Mufflers have been done away with and replaced with one large bore item, which sounds amazing! (See Video).  The roof tip spoiler finishes the car well too.

The Rear Fenders have been nicely flared to give the car a real wide stance.

Inside this JZZ30 Soarer has the rare black Interior as well as reclining seats from Bride and GReddy Meters.

Suspension is from Tein and is full Tap.  We took this snap before we swapped out the 6kg Swift Springs for Aragosta 18kg ones.  6kg ones were installed due to the car being Drag spec, another clue to that being the fact the car has line lock installed (Not to mention rubber on the inside of the rear arches!)

The 18″ Work XD9 alloys are in very nice condition and really suit the car.

The Soarers brakes have been upgraded to JZA80 Supra Large Type, a common upgrade.

In the sun you can really appreciate the cars re-spray in metallic purple.  Looks a lot like R33 GTR Midnight Purple to us.

And this is what this cars all about, its monstrous engine setup.  2JZ with HKS T51R!  Unfortunately other than the fact it has Jun Cams, were not sure of the bottom end or gear box spec but due to the power this car produces we reckon its probably uprated.

HKS T51R Kai Ball Bearing Turbo, rated for 800ps.  If you have ever heard one of these things you will know how cool they sound, if not see the video…..!

This Dyno sheet came with the car but its not clear when it was taken and therefore if the spec is exactly the same but the figures are HUGE.

JZZ30 51R (Turbo) 1.6k (Boost) 868.5ps / 894.2ps 90.1kgm (!)

When i drove it we had the boost at 1.4 and it certainly felt easily over 700ps!

So even though the cars setup for Drag, I couldn’t resist the chance to take it round Minami for a quick spin.  Some of the Top D1 machines run this turbo but they all use NOS to help the lag issue and get the turbo spooled up.  This car doesn’t have NOS so I wondered if it could be Drifted?  The answer is YES.  I tried to link the main D1 Section and it lit the tyres up with ease (Well after 2 clutch kicks coming over the “hump”!).  The problem is, soarers have very poor lock, an achilles heal as far as drift is concerned, so navigating around 1st and 2nd corners was made near impossible.  Other than that though I love it, power is stunning and the sound of this thing at full noise is awesome.  The cars that good that if no one buys it promptly as is, we will go about converting it to full drift spec by the aid of front knuckles firstly.

This car will break things with this amount of power so if you want reliability we can offer you many other suitable cars but if you want the hole place to stand up and take note when you go out on track then this maybe the car for you!

So this is your chance should you want to own such a beast, Please enjoy the video and remember to click the HD button for full effect!
