A Harley in a Skyline……

No this isn’t some strange engine swap…. Harley is the driver. He is one of many visitors who have braved Ebisu’s winter weather for a chance to get some one on one tuition from a Genuine Japanese D1 Driver, as part of a Team Orange School Package.

For this day Harley used this Team Orange R33 GTS Skyline.

After a delay due to ice and snow on the course, Harley from Australia soon got to grips with the Skyline. Really impressive since it was the 1st time he had driven a Drift car.

He looks like a natural before long.

Suneaga took him up to the Driftland Course and toured round the track explaining how to tackle it.

Harley relished his time on the track and like so many before him, now has the drift bug after his 1 day taste!

Back in the pits Suneaga shows off his special “Drift bean”. His palm is worn from all the pulls of the handbrake, an essential tool for any drifter!

Here’s Harley and Suneaga posing for a end of day photo. Hope you come back soon mate!

We look forward to seeing you here! Please let unknow what package your after when you decide.
HAHAHAH this takes me back some months ago.. late last year Suenaga San came up to MSP to teach the school.
It was my first event in 9 months due to being In Iraq. I never really played with the ebrake much and was screwing it up. So Suenaga San hopped in my car and drove like he owned it. I followed exactly what he did and it was awesome.
Yeah hes a great teacher huh!
for sure… I left that day with the E brake securely in my tool bag. I have pretty used all the other techniques but I disregarded the ebrake. I gave up trying to convince my buddies that when the time is right.. there is nothing at all wrong with using it.
It is an essential and fundamental part of drifting. You have to learn it early, and use it well. Without it super close drifting would be impossible.
