Sometimes we actually venture out of our home at Ebisu and even check out some non drift action!  We were kindly invited to Sugo Sportsland Circuit around 1 hour north to see our local friends at Racing Garage Fastest [RGF] at a track day there.

RGF specialise in tuning GT-Rs for circuit and fast street use, and there was 4 from the shop in attendance at the track, including this stunning Gunmetal Grey R34.

This White R34 GT-R had about the most tuning out of the group but all were a long way from standard with 550-650ps each.

Amongst the R34s massive tuning spec is a Nismo Intake, and HKS V-Cam Camshaft setup.

This R32 was super clean, like all the RGF cars there that day…  they all boast immaculate engine rooms too, something I personally love!

Everyone prepared to go out for a time attack session.

This Red R34 is the RGF Demo car piloted by company owner Kanazawa-san.

Some snaps of the cars out on track.  I was really impressed with the circuit.  It’s used for the Super GT Series here amongst many other events.  I’m thinking my Rx7 would be good fun round here!

A little later on everyone lined up on the starting grid for a race.  This is where Kanazawa really gets to shine as he has a secret weapon.  Not only does he have an immense car but he is a Drag Racing Pro!  He used to be the test driver for the HKS Drag machines and the Veilside R32 GT-R so he’s kind of handy off the lights!  He destroyed everyone off the start line and settled into 1st place by the 1st corner.

10 Laps later and after a good scrap with a super fast Evo, Kanazawa-san emerges victor. Head mechanic Sakai-san cheers his boss home pictured far left.

Even better news for RGF was that 2 of the other GTRs crossed the line directly behind the boss and it was a 1,2,3 for Racing Garage Fastest, living up to their name!

Kanazawa-san reminds us who’s No.1!

Kanazawa-san invited us to take a closer look at his Demo car.  I was encouraged to take a drive round the paddock to see what I thought, and I can tell you it’s so easy and a complete dream to drive, even with 600ps!  The Tein dampers too also felt great, as did the monster Brembo brakes.

Nismo Front Aero parts set the car of so well.  Fenders are genuine Nismo Z-tune too.

RGF use Enkei wheels.  They looks so classy….

The heart of the beast.  The Full Tune RB26 uses twin HKS GT-RS Turbos for over 600ps.

Clean and simple on the inside.

Next day back at RGF’s homebase in Nihonmatsu, close to Ebisu, Kanazawa decides on MORE braking power going with these mega Mono-6 Brakes.

The rears are upgraded too and he’s switched to a OS Sequential transmission. Next year will see the lap times tumble I’m sure!  Thanks to Kanazawa, Abbi, and Sakai for all there help and hospitality on the day and since.

  2. Andy says:

It was a small event so theres probably none. I dont remember seeing anyone with a Video Camera there im afraid.

  3. Estuardo says:

Hey Andy, any of those R34’s for sale…?

  4. Andy says:

Not at the minute. The RGF Demo Car (Red one) could be bought but with spec like that you would need very deep pockets!
