This is an annual event held here at Ebisu circuit to help promote the sport to it’s loyal younger fans.  It takes place in the pits of the Nishi course incorporating an exhibition competition held on the Nishi Short course in the afternoon.   There was a bouncy castle, face painting, and trade stands to keep the kids amused and they were even let loose on this sil80.  The result was best described as “interesting”!

As you can see in this pic Team Orange were off-course in full attendance, and were joined by numerous big names from D1.

This is the “Drift Samurai’s” practice car.  Looks tough as hell!

The Exhibition consisted of a Tsuiso format competition featuring some of the biggest names in the sport.  Here’s Nakamura in his battle with his signature smoke trail.

Suenaga was voted better than Tokita in the “Zero Crown” by the young kids who were judging the event.

Nakamura in the D-max S15 battled Tanaka in the next round and went on to face Nomuken.

Nomuken was voted top in this battle.

Team Orange, like some other drivers in their duals, decided they wouldn’t take the usual approach in their battle run and put a show on for the judges with their party-piece!

They swung around the central island for a pass towards each other….

Try that one yourself at your own risk!

The kids couldn’t decide who was best so made them run again!

… and then the impossible happened!

“Team Orange close” became too close!

The guys proved they are actually human, and traded a little bumper!

Off-course they never missed a beat as if nothing happened.

But the Drift Samurai was quick to claim a memento – Suenaga’s Rear Light cluster!

The Ebisu circuit Staff had some clearing up to do…..  not so sure about their pink recovery vehicle though!

So after Suenaga was voted winner by the young judges, he progressed into the final Vs Nomuken.  I’m not sure this was quite to script but you know what they say – never work with children or animals!  A good time was had by all I’m sure though, and it’s always nice to see tomorrow’s fans and drivers getting involved with the sport at events such as this.
