You can tell there is a D1 round coming up, when you arrive at Minami circuit and see no fewer than 5 D1 cars, here practicing. The 2 JZX100 monster Chasers of Kunny’z and Diago Saito, Koguchi’s famous 180sx, Jinushi’s 4-real works green JZZ30 Soarer, and Wind’s Autos’ Hachiroku SR20 Turbo were all here honing their game.

Kunny’z and Daigo’s JZX100 Chasers sounded awesome.

You can really see Daigo’s car’s suspension working well as it swallows up the Ebisu hump.

Kunnyz seemed to be coping just as well…

700+ps turns Goodyear’s to smoke very efficiently.

Koguchi’s legendary 180sx looked great as always…..

…. and is as loud as hell!

Towards the end of the day, Kuniaki and Daigo paired up for some Tsuiso practice, and we were in for a rare treat.

You would think that with the up and coming D1 round here, these guys would take it easy on their cars….. but you’d be wrong. As you can see they shadowed each other round the track with only bare inches separating them.

It takes great nerve to enter at high speed with this close proximity to your competitor.

Koguchi and Jinushi also paired up for a few laps.

Jinushi’s BN Sports blister kitted green JZZ30 Soarer looked great as the sunlight reflected off its candy green paint.

This is another big power D1 car that has no problem disposing of tyres!

A snap of Koguchi as he passes through the mid section of the D1 Course.

Koguchi’s car looked menacing in the pits, we cant wait to see them all back here for the full D1 Twin Rounds just days away!
