We caught up with Maeda san practicing in his Up Garage AE86 20V Turbo at the Minami course. We’ve seen this car compete in D1 for the last few years and  it still remains one of the last AE86s that are still competitive today.  The 20V 4AG is coupled with a TD06 turbo, NOS, and Motec management.  It used to be one of the loudest cars in D1, but in keeping with current regulations, has been quietened somewhat.  It still sounds great tearing round the track and next time we will try to get some action shots!

The 1600cc 4AG Engine produces over 400PS with the aid of NOS!

The visiting group of guys over were impressed by this crazy “Hachi”.  Thanks to Maeda san and his team for taking the time to speak to us and showing us the car.
