No sooner had we arrived and we’re greeted to an awesome display from visiting Formula D Driver Calvin Wan.  He’s joined on the School course by Circuit manager and Team Orange member Naoto Suenaga, as well as Ebisu’s Sumica-san.  All three were within inches of each other and as you would expect some paint was traded, all in the name of fun!  All 3 showed great car control and looked very comfortable at these super close-quarters.
Above is Calvin pictured with his car he bases here at the circuit. All these Formula D guys have their picture pose down…..   seriously though Calvin is a real nice, down to earth guy and it was great meeting him.

Here’s Calvin and Suenaga in action, and yes they really are that close.  Both are using their practice cars with mild tuning, but that’s all you need to have fun here! 
Calvin also entered the D1 Divisional competition at Maze Circuit the following weekend.  You can read the great post on his Blog about his Japanese Drift-Comp day.

They showed great formation as they swung towards the wall of the tricky, tight, Ebisu School course.

Calvin looked very comfortable in his RHD silvia but then he did mention he had one back home in the States!

More close running, this time with Suenaga taking the lead.  He never stops smiling too, you can tell he’s got a massive grin, even when he’s wearing his helmet.

So with this as a taster of what’s to come, I’m sure powervehicles will be very happy here, in our new home!
