From D1 SL Rnd 1 at Bihoku. Super Dangerous track, each day of the comp a car flipped! This time its a local shop's lovely Super tuned JZX100 that ends upside down. Bad luck to them, its a real shame. |

D1 Divisional Round 1 Ebisu! Only 42 cars entered, by far the smallest field for a D1 Divisional round we have seen. This maybe due to the fact this track is so unforgiving and has claimed so many casualties... a mistake near the wall can mean the end to a cars career here! The driving was a of a high standard as usual as everyone improved towards the 1st roulette round of qualifying. I failed to make it through due to a poor line but after Kumakubo pulled me over to say that my line was off and too wide and that i had to slide directly towards the judges i knew i had to improve.... He complemented me and said my entry was in the top 5, i just needed to sort the line out, so i was ready for another bite! In the last chance round i managed to get it together and progressed into the next round. From there you have 3 single passes to impress the judges (Pictured: [Team Orange] Kumakubo, Tanaka, and Suenega - Top Guys!).
My 1st pass went all wrong but the next one was as near perfect as i could do and i was rewarded by a 99.15/100 score which meant i qualified 4th! The last pass was a bit wild and meant my 2nd brush with the wall of the day but it didn't knock me too much off line!
 Next was the battle Tsuiso Round. I was paired with a real good 180SX Driver and all though i got a "one more time run" his experience shone through and he progressed to go onto 4th position overall. My Qualifying run meant i finished 9th overall and i was very happy as last year i never got to grips with the minami course and i now feel much more at home there!
 
One Brush with the wall, two brushes with the wall....
(Lets not do a 3rd, were into metal work!!!!) Fellow Foreign Driver Alex Kantaroski (OZ) also was driving whilst here on his holiday(!) and got a top 16 finish too. Top Work!
  Sadly to finish the day one fellow driver hit the wall real hard whilst tearing it up in the free session at the end. The S15 hit the wall hard on the front right and will need a lot of work before its strait again. Bad luck to him, and it serves as a reminder of just why this course has the reputation it does. Were back here in August for round 4 - lets just hope we do as well as this round next time or better (and keep it off the damn wall!!!!) |

We get to Ebisu for a quick practice session. There's D1 cars a plenty there too - R Magic were there with their FD3s Rx7, all of team orange were milling around the pits and Ueno was there testing in the Super new 2JZ M3. It sounded awesome when he tickled it round the track but it retired before he gave it some real beans with a drive line fault. Our JZX100 felt good on the breif 30 mins practice, though the gear box 3rd gear synchro was crying out for mercy! This meant on competition day 3rd would need to be engaged slowly at low revs so not to risk complete a complete gearbox failure. Sunday was going to be tricky..... |

Lots of tyre fitting to be done for this weekends D1 SL Divisional Event this weekend at Ebisus Minami D1 Course. Using a mix of Advan Neovas on the front for grip and control with Federal Rs 595s on the rear as you really need to break traction easily for the dreaded 1st corner entry! |

Bn Kitted Supra bought to order for a customer. Got to be the one of the widest cars we have ever had here (Only matched by the old BN Sports D1 FD we had a few years back!). Only JUST fits om the loader truck! Will need some serious suspension raising before it gets shipped.... |

Some of our pics from last weekend at the Exciting Car Showdown in Nagoya. Our JZX100 was on the Kazama and Yashio Stand along with Kazamas JZX110 and Yashios D1 S15 and Time Attack S14. Also pictured was a show winning Wide Body Faceswap S13, Daigos new Anime Graphic Clad and Restyled D1 Champion Car, and the Redline FD Rx7 Featuring the Illuminating Body Graphics (More below).
